The rolling hills and valleys of the Ozarks beckon hikers from all corners of the country. Known for their stunning autumn hues, captivating terrain, and secluded atmosphere, these trails provide a unique opportunity for tranquillity and a deep connection with the natural world.
Covering an expanse of over 45,000 square miles (around the size of New York state), the Ozarks region stretches across the southern portion of Missouri and parts of north-western and north central Arkansas, as well as smaller areas in north-eastern Oklahoma and south-eastern Kansas.
Geographers have classified the area into four main divisions—the Boston Mountains, the St. Francois Mountains, the Springfield Plain, and the Salem Plateau—along with various smaller segments of hilly terrain near rivers.
The boundaries of the Ozark uplift are delineated by significant rivers: the Missouri to the north, the Mississippi and the Black to the east, the Arkansas to the south, and the Grand (or Neosho) River to the west.
Clear waterways and creeks wind their way through the rugged limestone cliffs, unique geological formations, across natural arches, and down cascading waterfalls, creating a haven for outdoor enthusiasts in the Ozarks. Whether you seek a leisurely stroll or a more challenging trek, the Ozarks boast a plethora of trails for hikers and adventurers to explore the region
The Ozark Mountains boast some of the most stunning and picturesque hiking paths in the United States. Situated in the heart of the nation, these gentle slopes and valleys are teeming with a variety of plant and animal life, as well as some of the most awe-inspiring sights in the country.

There is a wide selection of trails available, ranging from simple, level paths to demanding, rugged terrain. Regardless of your hiking experience, there is a trail suited to your abilities.
